In a bid to make life better for rural dwellers, especially the market women, a non-governmental organisation known as Rosy Touch Initiatives for Development in conjunction with Friends of Humanity has given free medical training to some market women in Oyo town.
The event which took place at the popular Sabo market in Oyo, recorded another milestone in the history of the town when the NGO stormed the market to host an outreach that focused on improved health and medicine for the market women.
In his own speech, the chief speaker of the event, Chief Lasisi Ojo of Ifa Heritage Institute, advises the women to take cognizance of their health, in order to observe any changes in their wellbeing before escalating into a big health challenge.
He also had an interactive lecture with the women on common endemic disease and how to maintain a good daily hood hygiene.
Medical materials and preventive equipment against hazardous infections were however given to the women to protect themselves against diseases.
Also speaking at the event, the president of the Rosy Touch Initiatives for Development, Mr Adeleke Hattrick also disclosed to the women that everything created by God has its function and as such, they should make use of different herbs available for them for their protection.
The market women and the beneficiaries of the health materials, however, express their gratification to the leadership of Rosy Touch Initiatives and as well Friends of Humanity, especially Graziella Zanolleti for her numerous humanitarian activities across the globe.
