MultiChoice’s digital satellite TV service, DSTv has explained why it opened its top three premium channels to all subscribers.
Mr Martin Mabutho, General Manager, Marketing, MultiChoice Nigeria said that the open window will give viewers the opportunity to experience premium quality services.
He said, “These open windows give our customers a taste of some of the great channels available on our packages. It’s our way of saying thank you for your support.”
Between May 29 and June 23, DStv compact and compact + customers will have access to Comedy Central (DStv channel 122), History (DStv Channel 186) and Discovery Channel (DStv Channel 121), which were only available in Premium and Compacts.
Comedy Central will be showing Jerry Seinfeld and his motley crew of unhinged friends in Seinfeld, a hit 90’s TV sitcom currently running on the channel every weekday.
Also, Comedy Central will be screening Jeff Ross Roast on Monday, 5 June. The series, which was inspired by the competitiveness of the stand-up circuit, will see Jeff Ross preside over a series of one-on-one battles in an effort to determine a new roast champion.
On the other hand, History will show “101 People Who Changed the 20th Century” on Sunday, 4 June a factual documentary about the people who drove the changes in every aspect of life that made the Twentieth Century and set-up the Twenty-First Century.
Discovery Channel will showcase adventures in history, nature, science and technology and human society. It will also feature Cooper’s Treasure, a real-life treasure hunt series which sees adventurer, Darrell Miklos, embark on a personal quest to fulfil his friend, astronaut Gordon Cooper’s, legacy of uncovering the hidden wealth he documented from space.
