Oba Omolola Adekunle has been presented staff of office following approval by the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, appointing him as the new Oniran of Ile-Iran in Ayedire South Local Council Development Area of the state.
To this end, Adeleke urged traditional rulers in the state to sustain and maintain peace and harmony in their respective domains by placing the interest of the state above other primordial considerations.
The governor, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Dosu Babatunde, during the official presentation of staff of office to the new monarch, Oba Omolola Adekunle, the Oniran of Ile-Iran.
He implored royal fathers in the state to always ensure peaceful reign in their domains, urging the people to as well, always accord traditional rulers the needed respect and honour that they truly deserve.
In his acceptance speech, Oba Adekunle while thanking Governor Adeleke for the honour bestowed on him as reflected in his appointment as a monarch, promised to promote unity among his people and as well to continue to contribute his quota for the economic development of the state.
The new Oniran of Ile-Iran, also commended the governor for the unprecedented achievements recorded throughout the state since he came to power.
