A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Adeyeri Stephen, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the Supreme Court, affirming him as the valid winner of the last presidential election. He described the judgment as a relief for Nigerians.
Adeyeri stated that the judgment further establishes the fact that the judiciary remains unbiased, despite negative comments made against it by those who oppose President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.
He also commended the 11 members of the Ondo State House of Assembly who distanced themselves from a purported letter written to the Chief Judge by the Speaker.
He said, “I am writing to extend my heartfelt congratulations on your recent victory at the Supreme Court. Your success is not only a personal achievement but also a significant milestone for our nation.
“Your journey to this momentous victory has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the principles of justice and democracy. It is a testament to your strong belief in the Nigerian judiciary, which, as we have witnessed, has once again upheld the rule of law with fairness and impartiality.
“The confidence reposed in our judiciary has undeniably been brought to bear with your triumph at the Supreme Court. This outcome reflects the resilience of our democratic institutions and reaffirms the trust that citizens and leaders can place in the judicial system.
“As you continue to take on the responsibilities of leadership, I have every confidence that you will continue to champion the principles of justice, equity, and progress for all Nigerians. Your victory at the Supreme Court is a beacon of hope, and I am confident that your tenure will be marked by a commitment to the betterment of our great nation.
“I also commend the 11 members of the Ondo State House of Assembly who distanced themselves from a letter written by the Speaker to the Chief to constitute a seven-man Panel against the Deputy Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
“It’s somewhat sad that instead of the Speaker focusing on his legislative duties or addressing the political chaos in the state, he keeps escalating tension with his wrong moves. I appreciate the distinguished lawmakers for standing with the truth.”
