After long years of leadership tussle, the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II,  has laid to rest the leadership crisis in Agbenikaka village in Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo State.

Consequently, the royal father appointed one  Pa. Adebisi Igili as the Odionwere (village head) of the village.

Chief Osaro Idah, who was joined by other Benin chiefs, announced the approval through the Disputes and Conflicts Resolution Committee of the Benin palace

He said that the palace also appointed Mr Pius Agbonye as the Okaighele (youth leader) of Agbenikaka village.

The verdict sparked jubilation among rural dwellers who showed solidarity with Pa. Igili and pledged their loyalty to Oba Ewuare II.
