The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has said that some individuals are making moves to turn President Muhammadu Buhari against him, describing such move as “exercise in futility.”
He said this on Monday at Kajola Ward in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, during the continuation of his ward-to-ward senatorial campaign.
“All they are doing is to turn President Buhari against me. Nobody can turn President Buhari against me. It is impossible,” he said.
He, therefore, called on the people of the state to turn up at the polls on February 16 and cast their votes for Buhari whom he said had added value to the development of the country and the state in particular.
He said: “It is important we vote for President Buhari because he is adding value to the development of Nigeria and Ogun state too.

“Look at our railway, airport and power and many other things his administration has done, so we should all vote for him.”
On the pockets of political violence recorded in some parts of the state over the weekend, Amosun vowed to engage any politician trying to disrupt the peace of the state.
“Where are they before this time, it is now that the state is fast developing, they want to disrupt its peace. Resist them, don’t allow anybody to enslave you with your votes.
“Don’t allow anybody to collect your PVCs for a loan, protect it very well. That is your right. Don’t give anybody your PVCs.
“I will fight any politician that wants to disrupt the peace of the state. We are not known for violence,” he said further.
