The founder of the Nigeria Liberty Movement, a new political organization, Dr. Moses Adebisi, also known as ThisDaysMoses, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to serving humanity despite facing unjust attacks on himself and his family.
Dr. Adebisi expressed his resolve during a conversation with journalists in Abuja while visiting the headquarters of the Nigeria Liberty Movement (NLM), a political group focused on liberating Nigerians from poverty.
He said, “I am dedicated to serving humanity, and standing up for what is right in Nigeria is not a crime. If these attacks are politically motivated, they will not deter us from pursuing the necessary changes for the country to move in the right direction.”
In June, his home in the Okota area of Lagos was attacked, resulting in the destruction of property worth millions of naira. Fortunately, there were no casualties, as the assailants were captured on closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage.
In a more alarming incident on September 9th, 2023, Dr. Adebisi’s wife, Dr. Treasure Adebisi, narrowly escaped an assassination attempt by gunmen in Abuja.
The terrifying event, which occurred around 9:00 PM, sent shockwaves through the nation’s capital.
Eyewitnesses described a scene of chaos as gunfire erupted near Dr. Treasure Adebisi’s residence. The masked assailants ambushed her as she returned home, firing multiple shots and leaving her critically wounded.
However, she managed to escape further harm and was rushed to the hospital for urgent medical care.
Dr. Adebisi’s book, “Exposing the Absurdities in Nigeria’s System of Government,” has also led to legal challenges and his arrest by the government.
In April 2022, a violent attack was reported at the country home of Dr. Adebisi’s parents in Gbongan, Osun State.
On the morning of April 20th, miscreants, political thugs, and hoodlums stormed the residence of Prophet Lawrence and Temitope Adebisi, Dr. Adebisi’s parents, also known as ThisDaysMoses.
The attackers, armed and dangerous, shattered windows and terrorized the family. Authorities were alerted and responded swiftly to restore order and protect the victims from harm.
Dr. Adebisi has called on the Nigerian Police Force to investigate these unprovoked attacks and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
