Niger PDP congress: MaiBasira congratulates newly elected state executives

The National Financial Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdullahi MaiBasira, has congratulated the newly elected state executives on their victory at the just concluded Niger State Congress.

Abdullahi MaiBasira whose goodwill message was contained in a statement issued to journalists in Minna, through his media office headed by Malam Saidu Salihu Makun, also congratulated all party faithful for a successful and peaceful Congress.

The National Financial Secretary said the peaceful conduct of the Congress was a victory for the party, the State and the good people of Niger State while expressing the hope that the party was on track to reclaim power back from the ruling APC- led government of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello in the state.

He urged the state executives, under the experienced leadership of Tanko Beji to prepare and reposition the Party as a viable opposition and credible alternative in order to win the forthcoming 2023 general elections. 

He further advised all party members to quickly close ranks in unison and embrace reconciliation in the general interest of the party.

He also applauded the efforts of the PDP North Central Working Committee, delegates, stakeholders, INEC, security agencies and all party members for ensuring a hitch-free and credible exercise in line with electoral best practices.

MaiBasira advised the exco to ensure internal democracy and uphold the values and philosophy of the PDP by coming together to support party candidates in future elections.

He also assured party members in particular and Nigerians in general that the PDP remains the only party capable of returning the country on the path of good governance, rule of law and security of lives and property.
