Niger: Ex-minister’s son, Joshua Gana, pledges quality representation in N’Assembly

Member-elect representing Lavun, Mokwa and Edati Federal Constituency of Niger State at the House of Representatives, Hon. Joshua Gana, has assured of bringing speedy development to the constituency.

Gana, son of the former Minister of Information, Prof. Jerry Gana, who was a former Director at Sunti Sugar company in Niger State, a subsidiary of the Flour Mill of Nigeria gave the assurance during a courtesy call on the Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communiion in Abuja, Dr.Henry Maduka .

He said provision of quality representation would bring speedy development to the constituency and also promote peace and improve the standard of living of the citizens in his constituents.

The member-elect, however, disclosed that the visit was to present his Certificate of Return to the Clergyman and seek for his blessings and prayers to succeed.

“By God’s grace, as member representing Lavun, Mokwa and Edati Federal Constituency of Niger State at the National Assembly, Abuja , I hope to bring, as the word of God said in Joshua, their inheritance in their land.

“It is my duties as their representative to bring everything that is for them in the nation.

“I will ensure quality, sound and effective representation at the House of Representatives, Abuja to change the lives of my people positively,” he said.

Gana promised not to disappoint the people of his constituency and others while performing his legislative duties.

He called on all and sundry to support him to succeed.

Responding, the Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communiion Abuja, Dr. Henry Maduka appreciated Gana and his entourage for the visit.

He congratulated Gana who contested the recent election to the National Assembly and won on the platform of the the People’s Democratic Party( PDP) on his well deserved victory at the poll and prayed God to protect, guide and bless him abundantly.

“I want to congratulate you for the success and victory at the poll given to you by the God Almighty and the people of your Federal Constituency in Niger State.

“Your victory gave us joy and hope and its shows that diligence, faithfulness and hard work pays; above all, your regard for ordinary citizens,” the cleric stated.

He enjoined Gana to be good ambassador of the Church, his constituency and the country at large.

The primate charged the member-elect to live by Godliness and show the light of God in the National Assembly.
