THIS is the birth of a new political era and I say congratulations to Nigerians. The relatively peaceful conduct of the just concluded presidential, senatorial and \house of Representatives elections signal a new era in the political history of Nigeria.

Despite the high tension that characterised the pre-election period, the atmosphere of peace and civility that prevailed on the day of elections proved that Nigerians have come of age as all stakeholders; the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the voters and various political parties, did wonderfully well.
I hope the coming gubernatorial and state assembly elections will equally be conducted in like manner.
