The Executive of the Nasarawa Old Students Association (NOSA) has congratulated Simon Bako Lalong on his appointment as Minister of Labour and Employment.
The association, led by its president, Ahmed Danladi Idris, said the old and present students of Government Secondary School Nasarawa are proud of Lalong’s achievements as an alumnus of the school.
He said the former Plateau State Governor has continued to record tremendous achievements by exhibiting a high sense of responsibility and capacity in all his assignments.
NOSA said Lalong, as former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Governor of Plateau State, and Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, did not bring shame to his alma mater but rather ensured that he was a worthy ambassador of the school.
They assured him of continual prayer and support in his current assignment as Minister of Labour and Employment.
They also briefed him on the forthcoming national convention of the school and plans to build a national secretariat of the association.
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Simon Lalong, thanked them for the visit and said he has always been encouraged by the support and prayers of NOSA members.
He assured them that he would continue to do his best to serve society while also ensuring that he maintained the integrity and dignity of the school.
Lalong urged them to continue to support the administration of President Bola Tinubu in its Renewed Hope Agenda.
Thereafter, the Minister visited the Chambers of Joe Kyari Gadzama to congratulate him on his silver jubilee as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
He described JK Gadzama as a consummate lawyer who has significantly contributed to the law profession and also added to the nation’s jurisprudence.
