Nasarawa NSCDC parades 13 teenage cultists, other suspects

NSCDC patrolTHE Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Nasarawa State has paraded 13 teenage rivalry cult groups and other suspected criminals for various offences.

The State Commandant of the corp Mahmoud Fari disclosed this on Tuesday while briefing newsmen on the activities of the command during the Yuletide period.

Fari explained that 11 teenage cultists belonging to a group known as ‘assist’ were arrested and two rival cultists knows as ‘touch and see’ were arrested.

He disclosed that the suspects were arrested from the vicinity of the Nasarawa State Polytechnic stating that, they are not students of the institution.

The State commandant added that 7 suspects of theft were arrested and another suspect who defiled a girl below the age of 18.

He said the teenage cultists would be charged to juvenile courts while others would be charge to the common court for onward prosecution.
