IN line with its commitment to rid the state of corruption and implement the anti-corruption fight of President Muhammadu Buhari, the Nasarawa State Government has launched an investigation on public officers in the state.
Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura disclosed this on Thursday in Lafia, during the inauguration ceremony on facts finding and investigation committee on the three tertiary institutions in the state.
The governor said his government would no longer tolerate fraud and abuse of processes by public officers in the state.
He lamented the rot in the state owned tertiary institutions which have denied it accreditation of courses by their various regulatory bodies.
He described it as an unfortunate attitude of the administrative heads of these tertiary institutions in running of the institutions which have resulted to non-graduation of students in the past 5 years.
Al-makura added that “this informed why we are setting up these three committees in order to work with their findings and inject lives into these tertiary institutions”.
