The Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, in his efforts to alleviate the predicament of victims affected by the mosque petrol explosion in Gadan village, Larabar Abasawa, Gezawa local government area of Kano state, has donated ₦3 million to the victims.
He made the donation during a visit to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, Kano, where the injured victims are receiving treatment.
He said, “Our thoughts and prayers remain with the victims and their families during this difficult time.”
He further disclosed that the Gaya Emirate will provide all the necessary support to ensure a full and speedy recovery for those who were injured.
The Emir also expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and offered words of comfort and support to those recovering from their injuries.
According to him, the visit served as a gesture of solidarity and compassion for the affected community.

He therefore emphasized the importance of unity and urged residents to continue offering aid and assistance to those in need.
Alhaji Mahmoud Aminu Yusuf, District Head of Gezawa Mai Unguwar Mundubawa, commended the Emir for his generosity and unwavering support.
Alhaji Muhammad Bashir Tanko, Gezawa Local Government Caretaker Chairman, confirmed that 13 people lost their lives in the explosion, while 12 others are currently receiving medical attention.
He then urged residents to be vigilant and security-conscious. He added that the local council will begin immediate renovations on the damaged mosque.
