A 32-year-old man, Nwabunne Egbuna, was on Wednesday docked before a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State over alleged theft of property valued at N123, 000.
Egbuna, whose address is not provided, is facing a two-count charge of stealing, breaking and entry, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, ASP. Clement Okuoimose, told the court that Egbuna committed the offences with some others still at large on June 13 at about 10 p.m at Signs and Wonders behind Federal Government College, Era Road, Ijanikin, Lagos.

Okuoimose said that the defendant broke and entered Mr Sunday Orji, the complainant’s house and stole his property.
“He stole one Sonny Home Theater valued at N34, 000, one Plasma Television valued at N55, 000 and cash of N34, 000.
“The total value of property and cash stolen is N123, 000,” said the prosecutor.
He said the offences contravened Sections 287 and 307 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Aka Bashorun, admitted the defendant to bail of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
Bashorun adjourned the case until July 9 for mention.
