The member representing Egbado North/Imeko Afon Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Abuja, Hon. Olaifa Jimoh Aremu has pledged to have more robust engagements with his constituents which would engender practical development in the constituency.
Olaifa also assured the people of his unwavering commitment to delivering democracy dividends in the area of empowerment initiatives.
The lawmaker gave the assurance at the weekend during an extended executive committee meeting of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) held in Ita-Oba Aiyetoro Area of Ogun State.

The Federal lawmaker, who reeled out his achievements at the National Assembly in seven months, highlighted
the sinking of motorised boreholes, sponsorship of about 50 constituents to National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM), Ilorin for Agriculture Empowerment including starter packs; placement of youths in agencies for employment and educational support funding for individuals.
He; however, vowed to facilitate more developmental projects, including the provision of transformers to various communities in the constituency in due course.

Meanwhile, Olaifa cleared the air over his relationship with the gubernatorial candidate of the party in the last election, Gboyega Isiaka.
He emphasized that although both of them now belong to different parties, they still maintain a mutually respectful relationship.

“ADC is strongest here. It is alive and kicking as our people through various wards chairmen have been coming to the podium to affirm and re-affirm.
“GNI and I are not politically together today, but we can still be together tomorrow, but the truth is that I am more interested in giving our people dividends of democracy than political idle talk. Politics is over and time is now for governance till 2023, may God spare our lives,” he said.
Others at the event include the state secretary of the party, Bashorun Niyi Salako, state woman leader, Mrs Yemisi Adepegba, Ogun West Senatorial Chairman of the party, Prince Lanre Adu Asungbalaja, as well as the member representing Imeko Afon at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Jemili Akingbade.
