Lagos State mainstream All Progressives Congress (APC) led by Hon. Tunde Balogun and a faction of the party, Lagos4Lagos led by Dr AbdulAzeez Adediran held their congresses simultaneously on Saturday in the state.
The Tunde Balogun-led APC holds its congress at the Onikan stadium, Lagos while Lagos4Lagos State congress was held at the Lagos Airport Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.
The congress, which was kick-started after the arrival of the state governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu around 11am, has in attendance state congress officials and delegates from the local government areas, including past governors of the state, 20 Local Government Chairmen, 40 lawmakers, 24 House of Representatives, 3 Senators from the state, Ward delegates, former House of Representatives and former House of Assembly.
At the state congress, 37 party officials at the state level are expected to emerge after an election coordinator by congress officials from the national secretariat, Abuja.
