A lady, simply identified as Iyabo, has collapsed and died after returning from an alleged all-night party.
She reportedly collapsed while attempting to bathe in her compound at Urban Area in Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State.
Iyabo’s mother is said to be a popular Amala and Ewedu food merchant at Larboard Road, Sapele.
Reports suggest that she had woken up seemingly hale and hearty on Monday after the party, but suddenly collapsed and died as she entered the bathroom to freshen up.
A source alleged that Iyabo purportedly partied all night on Sunday but returned home sober, leaving people wondering what could have caused her sudden death.
The source stated that the deceased did not show any signs of sickness the previous day before.
Meanwhile, the mother of the deceased, popularly known as Mama Iyabo, has expressed grief over the sudden demise of her daughter.
She, however, said that she takes solace in Allah, as the deceased has been buried according to Muslim rites.
Authorities of the Delta State Police Command have yet to comment on the incident.
