Unconfirmed sources have it that the bus belonged to God is Good Motors, a popular commuter services provider plying along Port Harcourt-Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan and other parts of the country.
Elibrada is in Emoji Local Government Area of Rivers State which of recent has been ravaged by various forms of insecurity ranging from assassinations, kidnaps, armed robberies, cut clashes, rapes and care jackings, among others.
But the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Nnamdi Omni who confirmed the incident stated that only five persons were held and not 15 as widely touted adding that 3 of the victims have been released after a gun duel with the abductors.
He said efforts were on to secure the release of the two remaining victims still in the custody of the abductors.
Efforts by our correspondent to get more information on the incident yielded little result as a visit to the Aba Road only office of God Is Good Motors mentioned in the incident revealed normal activities proceeding smoothly as booking and other staff of the transport company were busy at their duty post as if nothing happened.
Booking was going on for movement against the next day to the several routes plied by the inter-state bus service company. Few of their staff who spoke under condition of anonymity denied any knowledge of such incident while reporting that their manager was not around for comments.
