The aspirant lamented the appalling state of the moribund industries that litter Ekiti State under the present Peoples Democratic Party led government which he said has brought backwardness to the state in terms of economic viability.
Engr Ojo who spoke in a statement signed by his Director of Media and publicity, Deji Aiyelabowo cited ROMMACCO, Ire Burnt Brick, gradual killing of the only Ekiti Tourist Centre such as Ikogosi Warm Spring and Ipole Iloro Water Fall, as well as the closure of GTB and Ecobank in the State over alleged refusal to surrender their Corporate Social Responsibility cash to Governor Ayo Fayose.
Ojo particularly expressed worry over the latest news of impending closure of the Gossy Water which he said could have been developed by the Governor to create more jobs for teeming Ekiti youths and as well create wealth for the state.
Facts made available to me as one major reason for the winding up of the company is the unfavourable business environment such that there was no electricity supply to the company to run effectively for three years including the non-patronage of the company’s product by Fayose’s administration for being the initiative of his predecessor.
Engineer Ojo noted that such a parlous situation came about as a result of negligence on the part of government that is selfishly focused on self rather than the interest of the generality of the people of Ekiti State.
The gubernatorial aspirant however promised that he will reverse the trend and create a conducive environment for the revival of the industries if he becomes the governor of the state.
In addition to this, he said he would kick start industrial revolution in Ekiti State that will provide employment for the teeming youths and also transform the economy of the State.
The aspirant who boasts of very strong international connections, particularly through his business empire, said he has the influence to attract investors into every sector of the state’s economy that will be of tremendous benefit to the people of the state.
Ojo further said that under his leadership, things will get better with vastly improved Internally Generated Revenue and better life for the populace while he will apply the knowledge with which he grew his business empire to the administration of Ekiti State.
“It is on record that the Fayemi administration provided electricity in

transformers while liaising with the power company to restore electricity
in many towns.
“Ikogosi Warm Spring Company would not have been without electricity under
such an administration as it is under the Fayose administration now,
resulting in huge debts overhang, which has led to its liquidation
