A former member of the National Assembly, Senator Buruji Kashamu, has promised the Ijebu Igbo Muslim Community of a new Eid prayer ground.
Kashamu who represented Ogun East senatorial district in the upper chamber stated this during the eighth-day fidau prayer in honour of his late mother, Alhaja Wulemot Kashamu.
The late Madam Kashamu was the Iya Suna of Ijebu -Igbo, until her demise at the age of 96 years, last Thursday.
The former lawmaker appreciated the Muslim community and the entire Ijebu-Igbo for their prayers since the departure of his mother.

The Chief Mufasir of Ijebu -Igbo Muslim Community, Alhaji Sofiyullahi Aliyu, in his sermon, at the prayers, admonished all present to impact positively in the lives of others.
The cleric described the deceased as a devout Muslim who served Allah with all that she was endowed with.
He advised the people to take good care of their aged parents while alive and shun lavish spending at their burial.
The special prayer had in attendance, the Chairman, Senate Committee on States and Local Governments, Senator Lekan Mustapha and the Deputy Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum (Upstream), Senator Ifeanyi Uba.
