Kanu’s trial: Few lawyers, journalists await Judge, IPOB leaders’ arrival in court

Few lawyers, including Emeka Ejiofor, counsel to the self-acclaimed leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu and journalists have eventually gained access into the courtroom awaiting the arrival of the presiding judge, Justice Binta Nyako and for the defendant to be brought in.

Former governor of Anambra State and an Igbo leader, Chukwuemeka Ezeife has taken his seat in the court waiting for the commencement of the trial of the IPOB leader.

The few journalists in court were told not to capture the arrival of Nnamdi Kanu as operatives of the DSS have blocked every avenue to make sure the entrance of the IPOB leader is not captured.

It was gathered, however, that Kanu will be brought into the courtroom through the entrance used by judges.

Kanu is standing trial over criminal charges, bordering on terrorism and treasonable felony preferred against him by the Federal Government.
