A lady has committed suicide at her Abraka residence in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to a report, the deceased, identified as Tejiri Direia, was supposed to be in 300L of Department of Nursing of the Delta State University (DELSU), but could not continue.
It was, however, gathered that the deceased had already enlisted for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME).

A source said the reason for registering for the UTME could be to make up for lost grounds, having not informed her parents of her current status at school.
She was said to have locked up herself and drank a poisonous liquid suspected to be an insecticide.
“She locked herself inside her apartment and consumed the poisonous substance.
“Her neighbours had to break into her apartment when they started perceiving an offensive smell from the room.
“By her lifeless body was a can of an empty insecticide.
“Her parents were immediately contacted and that was when it was discovered that she had, since, dropped out of the university and we believe she was forced to end her life out of frustration,” Nigerian Tribune gathered.
Commissioner of Police, Delta Command, Mr Yinka Adeleke, when contacted, said he was in a meeting and asked it a reporter to inform the PPRO who also could not be reached.
DELSU’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Freeborn Aganbi, could not also be reached.
