There was pandemonium in Gadumo quarters of Lokoja, Kogi State capital as a twelve years old boy committed suicide.
The boy, simply identified as Bobo was said to have killed himself on Sunday following a punishment given to him by his elder sister.
The boy was said to have taken a large dose of sniper, which later ended his life before help could come.
Tribune Online gathered that when the family returned from church on Sunday the deceased was found to have misbehaved following which his sister gave him punishment to serve.
But he refused to serve the punishment until their father came in and asked him to do the popular “frog jump”.
However after serving the punishment, the deceased went into there apartment and drank the poisonous material which later affected him.

It was gathered that the cry of pain by the boy alerted the family who quickly rushed to the scene to save his life.
It was learnt that the parents only got to know after the poison had taken negative tolls on the deceased and all efforts to remedy the situation was to no avail as he eventually died before getting to hospital.
When Tribune Online visited the area on Monday, it was gathered that the remains of the deceased have been taken to the parent’s hometown for burial.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Kogi State Command, Williams Aya, said the command was yet to get the report of such incident.
He, however, said efforts would be made to investigate from the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the area.
