Jigawa Governor, Mallam Umar Namadi, has issued a stern warning to his cabinet members, emphasising the importance of teamwork and synergy in achieving the state’s development agenda.
At a two-day retreat for state executives and political appointees, Governor Namadi stressed that collaboration is crucial for meaningful development in Jigawa.
He made it clear that any commissioner unwilling to work in synergy with special advisers and technical assistants must resign.
This move is seen as a bold step towards ensuring that only those committed to teamwork and the state’s development agenda remain in office.
Governor Namadi also emphasized the need for permanent secretaries to adhere strictly to civil service rules and regulations, eliminating corruption from the service.
He advised permanent secretaries to mentor their directors and assistant directors, fostering a culture of guidance and support within the state’s bureaucracy.
The governor’s emphasis on synergy and teamwork was echoed by Professor Murtala Sabo Sagagi, Director of the Central Bank, who presented a paper at the retreat.
Professor Sagagi stressed the importance of working together as a team to achieve the Jigawa 12-point agenda, highlighting the need for collective effort and collaboration.
The governor’s call for teamwork and synergy is seen as a commitment to achieving the state’s development goals and ensuring that Jigawa State becomes great.
