The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially activated the JAMB 2026 reprint portal, allowing candidates nationwide to access and print their examination slips ahead of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to information published in the official JAMB weekly bulletin, the board advised candidates to promptly reprint their slips to confirm their Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres, examination dates, and scheduled time.
The examination slip remains one of the most important documents required for the UTME, as it contains candidate-specific details that determine where and when each person will sit for the exam. Without it, entry into any CBT centre will not be granted.
For thousands of candidates preparing across Nigeria, early access to the JAMB 2026 reprint portal is expected to ease last-minute confusion and reduce the risk of missing examination schedules.

Why early reprinting is important
Many candidates delay checking their examination slips, often waiting until a day before their exam. This approach comes with risks, especially when the portal experiences heavy traffic or technical delays.
Reprinting early allows candidates to properly plan logistics, confirm unfamiliar locations, and avoid unnecessary stress on the examination day.
A CBT centre operator in Agbowo, Ibadan, who spoke on the development, stressed the importance of preparation.
“Every year, we see candidates arriving late because they did not check their centres on time. Some even come to the wrong location. Printing early and visiting the centre beforehand can prevent avoidable mistakes,” the operator said.
Visit your CBT centre before the exam
After using the JAMB 2026 reprint portal to check the JAMB 2026 exam centre, candidates are strongly advised to physically locate their centres at least one day before the exam.
This is particularly important for candidates posted to unfamiliar areas or cities. Traffic conditions, distance, and accessibility vary widely, especially in busy urban locations.
Arriving early also gives candidates confidence and reduces anxiety on the examination day.
Common mistakes to avoid
Candidates should take note of the following: do not wait until the last minute to print your slip. Avoid relying on verbal information from cybercafés without verifying yourself.
