In recognition of his outstanding achievements and enduring contributions to Africa’s digital transformation, Oladele Ologbonsaiye, a renowned IT Project Management and SaaS Solutions expert, has been conferred with the African Icon of Our Generation Award 2025.

The award presentation, which took place on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Ikeja, was organised by Accolade Communications Limited in collaboration with the International Centre for Comparative Leadership for Africans and Blacks in Diaspora.

The event drew eminent personalities from diverse sectors, who gathered to celebrate individuals who have made indelible contributions to enterprise growth, nation-building, and global competitiveness.

Ologbonsaiye, whose professional career spans over 15 years of leadership in IT Project Management, enterprise SaaS solutions, and cybersecurity strategy, has held key senior roles in leading organisations.

His work has been widely commended for improving enterprise resilience, strengthening operational efficiency, and aligning technology adoption with measurable business outcomes.

In addition to his professional exploits, Ologbonsaiye has earned recognition as a Fellow of the Institute of Productivity and Business Innovation Management (FIPBIM), an honour reserved for distinguished professionals whose expertise advances productivity and organisational innovation at scale.

Accolade Communications, publishers of the acclaimed Nigerian Role Models series, emphasised the significance of the award by situating it within a rich archival tradition. Previous landmark publications such as Nigeria @ 50: Leaders Par Excellence (2010), Nigerian Role Models Vol. 1 (2015), Nigerian Role Models Vol. 2 (2017), and Nigeria @ 60: 60 Leaders Par Excellence (2020) have consistently profiled Nigerians whose contributions have shaped the nation’s socio-economic and professional landscape. The 2025 award builds on this legacy by spotlighting exceptional entrepreneurs, professionals, and innovators driving Africa’s progress.

In his acceptance remarks, Ologbonsaiye expressed gratitude for the continental recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to Africa’s role in the global technology economy.

“This award is both an honour and a responsibility. It affirms that the work we do in advancing technology adoption and digital resilience is not only recognised but vital to Africa’s economic future,” he stated.

With this distinction, Ologbonsaiye joins the ranks of eminent Africans whose biographies and achievements have been chronicled as part of the continent’s intellectual and professional heritage. His recognition as an African Icon of Our Generation affirms his place among the leaders whose vision and impact continue to define Africa’s digital transformation journey.
