He noted that the University’s survival and growth in the face of insurgency stands as a clear reminder that education remains the strongest weapon against extremism and despair.

According to him, “These graduates are the torchbearers of a brighter tomorrow and living proof that knowledge will always triumph over fear.Their success represents victory of courage over intimidation and hope over hardship.”

The Governor also said that as a sister state in the North-East, Gombe shares in the joy and pride of Borno State, acknowledging the sacrifices made by the university management, academic staff and students to ensure that teaching and learning never stopped, even during the most challenging periods.

He commended the Borno State Government for its support to the education sector and urged the graduating students to use their knowledge, skills and character to contribute meaningfully to national development and regional stability.

In his remarks, Vice President Kashim Shettima described the convocation as a symbol of hope and national renewal, noting that the progress recorded by Kashim Ibrahim University reflects the resilience of the North-East and the collective resolve to rebuild through education.

He urged the graduates to see themselves as ambassadors of peace, innovation and service to humanity.
