A prayer group in Kwara State, the Assnadai Islamic Organisation, has organised a special prayer session for a peaceful conduct of the 2019 general election.
The group beseeched God for peace in the country before, during and after next year’s elections.
Presiding over the prayers, the leader of the organisation, Dr Saboor Alaaya, used the occasion to pray for the senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Abdulfatai Buhari, to realise his ambition of becoming the governor of Oyo State. “May his ambition be in tandem with Allah’s wish,” he asked.
The scholar equally called upon God to assist the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, and the Kwara State governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, in piloting the affairs of the country and the state.

The event was attended by prominent Islamic scholars within the Ilorin metropolis, including the newly appointed Imam Alaaya, Alhaji Muritala Nurudeen.
