Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has congratulated Nigerian singer Tems on her victory at the 67th Grammy Awards.
Tems won the Best African Music Performance category for her song ‘Love Me Jeje’, beating Yemi Alade (Tomorrow), Asake & Wizkid (MMS), Chris Brown featuring Davido & Lojay (Sensational), and Burna Boy (Higher).
In a post on X on Monday, Obi praised Nigerian artists who earned Grammy nominations and celebrated the country’s thriving entertainment industry.
“I am ever elated by the huge success Nigerian youths are making in various fields, especially in the entertainment sector,” he wrote.
He commended Tems on her second Grammy win and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting young talents in Nigeria.
“Undoubtedly, Nigeria remains home to the endless flow of talents who, through their creative arts, continue to put the nation on the global map,” he added.
Obi further emphasised his vision for a nation that fosters youth development and maximizes their creative potential for national growth.
