Similarly, the governor approved the appointment of Dr. Kabiru Usman Hassan as Director-General, Gombe State Geographical Information System (GOGIS).

The appointments which take immediate effect were made known via a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, senior special assistant, media and publicity to the governor.

The two appointments are pursuant to the powers conferred on the governor by Section 208 subsection 2(d) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended and the resolution of the Gombe State House of Assembly.

The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi who conveyed the governor’s approval congratulated the new appointees and charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by bringing to bear their wealth of experience and expertise in the discharge their new responsibilities.
