The state governor has approved the setup of White Paper and Implementation committees based on the findings of investigation panels that worked at five organizations in the state.
This information was disclosed by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture, Mr. Sagir Musa, while briefing newsmen on the outcomes of the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Malam Umar Namadi.
Mr Sagir Musa mentioned that the decision to establish the White Paper/Implementation Committee was made after the Visitation Panels/Enquiry on five affected institutions, including the State College of Education Gumel, College of Education and Islamic Legal Studies Ringim, Jigawa State Polytechnic Dutse, and Bilyaminu Usman Polytechnic Hadejia.
“Similarly, the Council has approved the establishment of a White Paper/Implementation Committee on the Review of the Drug Revolving Fund (DRF) and Free Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Healthcare (FMNC) Program in the Health Sector statewide.”
He stated, “The Council has received a report of the investigation panels on Health Training Institutions (College of Nursing and Midwifery and College of Health Sciences Jahun).”
The Information Commissioner emphasised that the council charges the White Paper/Implementation Committee to develop specific action points/modalities for each of the accepted recommendations in the reports of the investigation panels on Health Training Institutions and agencies.
