MEMBERS of the Jam’ujatu Ithadu Ansarul Faelati Tijaniyyat Mosque in the Sabon Gari area of Kano, Kano State, have expressed delight at the recent affirmation of the victory of the state governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, in the 2019 general election by the Supreme Court.
In a statement signed by the chairman of the mosque, Jafaar Balogun, the mosque claimed that the governor’s victory at the apex court did not come as a surprise.
The statement reads in part: “Your victory did not come to us as a surprise. Your resilience, doggedness, steadfastness and commitment through which you changed the lot of Kano State for the better socially, politically and economically are widely acclaimed.
“You have not only carved a niche for yourself as a selfless and quintessential leader who regards all Nigerians as one big family but also epitomised good governance as evident in your developmental strides across the state, including the rehabilitation of Odutola Road in Sabon Gari where our mosque is located.”
While assuring him of their prayers, the worshippers said they had no doubt that when the histories of the state and Nigeria are written, the governor’s name would feature prominently.
