The zonal head of Federal Road Safety Corps, RS10, Assistant Corp Marshal Kayode Olagunju, has disclosed that 283 corps marshal and officers were decorated with a new rank of office in the zone.
Olagunju revealed that the newly promoted officers and Marshal consist of 105 officers and 178 Marshal from the zone, with 10 officers and 27 Marshals from the zonal headquarters staff.
Others, according to him include Kebbi state with 32 officers and 57 Marshal, Zamfara also has 28 officers and 56 Marshal while Sokoto zone also produced 35 officers and 48 Marshal.
Olagunju described the list as the highest ever to be produced in the zone while appreciating the efforts of the sector commander and others for a job well done before arriving at the figure.

He urged the benefiting members among the corps not to relent in their duties, saying they should consider their new ranks as a call to duty and rededicate themselves for more service.
The zonal head further called on those who missed out on promotion this year to wait for their time and continue to put in their best.
He reassured them that the 2020 promotion exercise has commenced and advised them to maintain their integrity and dedication to service.
Olagunju also assured the general public that the promotion exercise will lead to better performance in the road by the corps while calling on residents to always report any officers found wanting in the discharge of his duty.
In his remarks, the chairman of the board members, Alhaji Abdullahi Waziri Sifawa, commended the newly promoted officers and advised them to see the promotion as a motivation to do more.
