The leadership of Foursquare Gospel Church in Molete District, Ibadan has disclosed its readiness to hold its 11th convocation programme.
The District, in a statement by the chairman of the 2024 district convocation, Bro. David Oluwaremilekun, explained that it’s an annual program that ends a church calendar year where worshippers and ministers of God in the District come together for fellowship and celebrations.
Leaders in the district also give reports of their ministerial stewardship in the District.
He stated that the convocation, themed El-Shadai (The Almighty God), is scheduled to hold between Thursday 18th July to Sunday, 21st July, 2024.
“All worshippers in and outside the district come together from local churches to the zones and the District headquarters church to rejoice, showing their heart of gratitude to God for the church calendar year that is ending and to set goals for the new church year.
“We discuss Kingdom business in the Convocation Business Meeting which is part of the District Convocation because that’s the only time in the year when leaders at various levels in the district give spiritual and financial reports of their different arms or zones,” he said.
He added that the 2024 edition of the convocation, which is also the eleventh since the creation of the District, is unique as it’s being chaired by him as a young man.
“The beautiful thing that makes this year’s convocation unique is that it’s being chaired by a young man who is also the leader of the Next Generation in Molete District. This shows that the District Overseer, Rev’d. Abayomi Gabriel Akomolafe is working with the vision of the General Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, Daddy GO, Rev (Dr.) Sam Aboyeji, who is also referred to as the Apostle of Next Generation, will be feeding us with the word of God from the throne of Grace on Sunday, which is the Grand Finale of the convocation,” he added.
