The Southern Kaduna Youth and Student’s Forum (SKYSFORM) has expressed its gratitude to the Senator representing the Southern Kaduna Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, for his relentless efforts in alleviating over 400 students with grants and scholarships in his zone.
In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Rabiu Yau Garga, and made available to newsmen on Monday, the group noted that the Senator’s annual scholarship grant to youths in Southern Kaduna deserves commendation.
According to the group, their findings revealed that the Senator has directly impacted the lives of over 400 students across different ethnic groups and religious persuasions in Southern Kaduna.
“The Senator’s educational scheme since its inception has inarguably directly impacted the lives of over 400 students of Southern Kaduna extraction across various institutions and LGAs, sometimes beyond the eight that make up Kaduna South Senatorial District”.
The group, however, warned mischief-makers and religious entrepreneurs against politicising a well-intentioned scheme that aims to alleviate the suffering youths and students from the Senatorial district are passing through.
“While congratulating the recent beneficiaries, we also want to warn mischief-makers and enemies of the region who are trying hard to rubbish the scheme as a means of settling political scores to immediately desist from doing so,” they said.
The group once again “urged the Distinguished Senator never to relent on his commitment to better the lot of our students, and indeed the entire Southern Kaduna, because of a few bad eggs that are trying hard to rubbish him or deepen our religious differences.
