In preparation for the February 2026 election for the Federal Capital Territory Area Council, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced its timetable and schedule of activities.
A statement released on Tuesday night, signed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, outlined that candidates interested in the chairman positions across the six area councils will be required to pay a total of N20 million.
This amount includes N5 million for the Expression of Interest forms and N15 million for the Nomination forms.
In similar vein, any party faithful willing to contest for the position of councillor is to pay a total of N2 million comprising N1.5 million for Nomination forms and N500,000 for Expression of Interest forms.
The APC, however, granted partial waivers for female aspirants and people with disabilities (PWDs).
They are to pay only for the Expression of Interest forms, while the Nomination forms will be granted to them free of charge.
