Engineer Oluwaseun Adeniyi, MNSE, has been inaugurated as the 3rd Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Oyo Branch.
During the inauguration ceremony held in Oyo Town, Oyo State, on Thursday, the President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Margaret Aina Oguntala, FNSE, who was represented by the Vice President of NSE, Engineer Ademola Agoro, FNSE, commended the members of the branch for conducting a fair election that led to Adeniyi’s emergence.
He urged the newly inaugurated executives of the branch to work in harmony for the progress of the NSE Oyo Branch.

He noted that the theme of the event, “Environmental Sustainability and Development,” is a call to action for prioritizing environmental sustainability.
“I welcome you all to this auspicious event. This is indeed a moment to celebrate leadership, professionalism, and progress within our society.
“I commend the members of this branch for conducting a free and fair election that led to the emergence of this new set of leaders. This indicates the level of maturity of the branch’s members,” he said.
In his acceptance speech, the newly inducted Chairman of the branch, Engineer Adeniyi, pledged to advance the excellence of the professional body.
He added that his administration would be committed to integrating professionalism, innovation, and community service.
“As I assume this esteemed leadership role, I am driven by a deep sense of purpose and a commitment to advancing the excellence of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, NSE Oyo Branch. Our branch stands as a symbol of professionalism and innovation, and my vision is to honor this legacy.
“The cornerstone of my tenure is to integrate professionalism, innovation, and community service, as demonstrated by our contribution to the 132kV transmission line in Oluewu and ongoing projects in Saki and beyond.
I envision a vibrant community of engineers equipped with technical expertise and empowered as leaders and nation-builders, ready to tackle society’s challenges with ingenuity and precision,” Adeniyi stated.
The event also witnessed the inauguration of the Engineer Olumuyiwa Ajibola Annual Lecture and awards presented to notable Nigerians.
Also speaking at the event, the guest speaker, Professor Ezekiel Adeniran, emphasized the need for sustainable development in the environment.
