Twenty-two years after the death of the first civilian governor of old Ondo state, Chief Adekunle Ajasin, the Ajasin Foundation has said a three-day memorial colloquium would be held to extol the virtues of the late politician.
The Non-Executive Secretary of the Ajasin Foundation, Mrs Jumoke Anifowose, who disclosed this to newsmen during a press conference in Akure, Ondo state capital, said the programme was put in place as part of the effort to build on the legacy of the governor of the state.
Anifowose stated that the theme for this year colloquium coming up on November 28, 2019, is “Promoting Economic Development, Social Justice and Rule of Law as Pathway to Stability and Prosperity in Nigeria” with Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai as the keynote speaker.
According to her, the Foundation has been concentrating on education and politics which are the two areas the late politician left indelible marks.
