The eight aspirants who contested against the candidate of the party revealed this in a close door confidence after their meeting in Abuja at the private office of the outgoing governor in Jabi FCT Abuja, recently.
The outgoing governor of the State, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, had pleaded with the aspirants at the meeting to work for the success of the party at the general election, noting that he discovered that there are plans by most stakeholders and the governorship aspirants to work against Engr Sule.
The ex-governor of the State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu was reported to have told the Governor and the governorship candidate that the chances of the party losing the State are very clear due to the emergence of an unpopular candidate in the person of Engr Abdullahi Sule.
Senator Adamu said that base on what is on ground, the people of Nasarawa State are tweeting towards the candidature of APGA while others are going for the PDP candidate with a vow to stop Engr Sule, noting that this was the reason why he was disposed to the candidature of Engr Sule because it will not help the party.

Our correspondent gathered that Engr Sule who is the candidate of the party had told the gathering that if they abandoned him with what is on the ground, he will lose the election and particularly express concern on the supporters of Hon Ahmed Wadada who vowed not to work for him.
He denied speculation that he has shared all the positions of the State to his camp when elected, noting that all the aspirants will play a role in the formation of the next cabinet if he wins.
Speaking under the condition of anonymity, one of the leading governorship aspirants in the recently concluded governorship primaries told our correspondent that about eight of them have met and concluded that they will not support the APC candidate.
They agreed that the Governor who collected a huge amount of money from Dangote to hand over the ticket to Engr Sule should also work alone to deliver him.
“The Governor thinks we are fools, since he collected money to sell the State out to Dangote, he should also device means of delivering him alone, at the meeting, he gave us N1m each as transport money and we collected it because we know it was a way of pacifying us but we will not fall into it.
“He suggested that a campaign team will be formed comprises of all the 11 governorship aspirants that lose out and will be headed by himself as the governor and another will be set up headed by the party chairman, secretary and all the DGs of the 11 governorship aspirants to ensure that they captured all lost grounds, but none of them will work for APC, we have instructed them to remain in the party, collect the Dangote money and work against it,” he said
About 11 governorship aspirants in Nasarawa contested the APC ticket with Engr Sule who eventually emerge as the winner of the election.
They include the State deputy Governor Hon Silas Agara, Ahmed Wadada , Arc Ja’afar Mohammed , Arc Shehu Tukur , Barr Danladi Envuluanza , Barr Dauda Kigbu , Barr Hassan Liman , Dr James Angbazo , Hon Zakari Idde , Hon Musa Maikaya.
But speaking after the meeting with the governorship aspirants in Abuja, Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura said all the aspirants agreed to work for the success of the party at the general elections.
He said that the leading aspirants in the APC guber ticket Hon Ahmed Wadada, Hon Silas Agara and Barr Danladi Envuluanza have all agreed to support the candidature of Engr Abdullahi Sule as the next governor of the State.
Those who attended the meeting included all the 10 governorship aspirants that contested the ticket against Engr Sule, the three APC senatorial candidates and the five House of Representatives APC candidates that emerge recently during the primaries.
