The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Umahi on internal Security Dr Kenneth Ugbala, who disclosed this to journalists after the Executive Council meeting in Abakaliki, said the training will take place at Pa Ngene Oruta township stadium.
According to Ugbala who said it is a must for all the members and those undergoing the process of selection and recruitment to to participate in the training, said men with good characters that are physically and mentally fit in discharging the work of neighbourhood security watch in line with the rule of law shall be chosen.

“In line with the executive’s discussion today, to ensure adequate security in Ebonyi state, it has approved two days intensive training for the members of Ebonyi State Neighbourhood security watch to ensure that members of the security watch carry out monthly training, which will make them to carryout their work better in line with the law.
Tomorrow, with the directive of the Exco, being 3rd and 4th of August, there is going to be a two days intensive training for members of Ebonyi state security watch at Pa Ngene Oruta Township Stadium.
“The Exco directed that all the security watch in Batch A, and the people that are undergoing the process of selection and recruitment to form batchB must participate in that training
“Exco further directed that even those who were not shortlisted before now, should participate and from there we choose the best to make sure that we enroll men of good character that are physically and mentally fit to carry out the work of neighbourhood security watch in Ebonyi in line with the law.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Information and State Orientation Senator Emmanuel Onwe “APC wrote two applications to use the Stadium on 4th of August and 11th of August and the Governor approved 11th for APC to use the stadium for their rally . The APC also applied to use the EBBC Radio and television live which has also been approved and this will be subject tool because there are two factions and everyone seeing what is happening in Nigeria politics…”
Recall that the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Umahi Emmanuel Uzor yesterday advised the factional All Progressive Congress (APC), that wants to use the Pa Ngene Oruta Township stadium for their rally to seek for alternative place for their rally, stressing that the stadium is undergoing serious reconstruction including asphalting and illumination of floodlight and maintained that any political activity in the place will jeopardize the work currently ongoing at the stadium.
