WIFE of Oyo State Governor, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi has admonished mothers to caution their children, wards against being used by politicians as hooligans and thugs to foment violence in the current electioneering process.
Speaking at the February edition of Oyo state’s Women Intercessory Network (WIN) held at the weekend, Ajimobi said women should tell those politicians who request their children for violence to rather use their own children.
She further spoke against vote buying, urging recipients of such money to question whether the money they are offered was enough to earn them a living for four years.
More importantly, she urged those of age to go out and vote on election day.
Ajimobi who regarded the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a party of peace and best to solve the nation’s challenges, avowed that President Muhammadu Buhari, her husband, Governor Abiola Ajimobi and all other APC candidates will emerge victorious in the forthcoming election.

She urged electorates, politicians and their followers to be guided by the fear of God in their political engagements.
“I am imploring all women not to let their children to be used to disrupt the peace in the nation whether at the federal or state level. We should make sure we keep our children safe.
“Don’t allow politicians to use your children as hooligans. Tell them to use their own children.
“I am confident that this election will be peaceful. We have prayed and God has answered our prayers. The will of God will be done.
“President Muhammadu Buhari will emerge again; Abiola Ajimobi will emerge Senator and all APC candidates will win because APC is a party of peace. APC is a party that can move Nigeria problem unless we want to deceive ourselves but I know we serve a living God and his will will prevail in Nigeria and in Oyo State,” Ajimobi said.
The event featured declarations and prayers for a peaceful election by clerics like Apostle Sunday Popoola, Prophet Michael Olowere, Reverend Tokunbo Oke, Mrs. Bola Are, Evangelist Bukola Akinade, Evangelist Toun Soetan.
