Domestic flights to begin at Bola Ahmed Tinubu Airport in Minna, April

Commercial domestic air transport operations will commence at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Minna, by April this year.

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State made this disclosure when he hosted the son of the President, Seyi Tinubu; the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande; and the CEO of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority, Cornelius Oluwasegun Adebayo, during a courtesy visit to the Government House, Minna, recently.

Governor Bago explained that commercial air transport operations will begin with daily flights from Lagos to Minna and, by June, will extend to Kano. He highlighted that the plan is to have ten aircraft operating at the airport.

He further stated that two out of the ten aircraft will be designated for cargo operations, facilitating the shipment of goods to Brazil and Saudi Arabia.

Describing the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Minna, as the first of its kind in the country, the governor emphasized that the cargo and Hajj terminal at the airport are landmark initiatives aimed at transforming the livelihoods of the citizens.
