The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman, psc, fsi, has received the newly deployed State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Commandant, Kambra Abdullahi Adamu and his entourage on courtesy visit on Wednesday 17th October, 2024.
In opening his remarks, the Commandant said he needed to visit the Commissioner of Police to familiarise himself with the duties on focus and the importance of the Nigeria Police as well as to seek cooperation, collaboration, and synergy.
He asserted that he visited to pay official homage and enumerated his duties as follows: protection of critical national assets, training and supervision of private guard companies, disaster management, and assisting other security agencies, among other responsibilities, noting that it is very important to work together to reduce crime and criminality.
In his response, the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP, Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman welcomed the Commandant and his entourage to the State Headquarters of the Police Command at Dutshen Kura Hausa, Minna.
The Police Boss noted that he was pleased to receive the new Chief officially on behalf of the officers and men of the Command. The CP congratulated him for his deployment to Niger State Command and wished him a successful tenure.
He reiterated that internal security is very dynamic and getting more complex. Therefore, all hands must be on deck applying areas of core competency. He said that security agencies must work together for the sake of residents and Nigerlites, no matter what each agency’s Act indicates, the most important thing is the security of life and property.
CP Shawulu affirmed that challenges are increasing and no single agency can handle it alone. He said, ” We must work as partners in progress, appreciate and give cover to ourselves”. He noted that the commitment to serve is reflected in the uniform we wear and the concept of esprit-de-corps by extending hands of fellowship for us to deal with situations.
He finally reiterated that cooperation, collaboration, synergy, and esprit-de-corps cannot be overemphasised, as he looks forward to leveraging on the existing relationship to work together in tackling challenges for the pride of the services, the institutions, and the personnel.
