The Ogun State government on Thursday said six patients have been discharged from its isolation centre in Ikenne, on Wednesday, having tested negative twice to COVID-19.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Kunle Somorin, said the number of discharged cases in the state now 20.
Somorin added that four new cases were on Wednesday reported by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), for the state bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 95.
The statement said the state now have 73 active cases, receiving specialised care in isolation centre within the state.
Somorin said the State Ministry has assured that more patients would be discharged in a matter of days,whereby urging members of the public to continue to maintain social distancing as the use of facemasks alone may not independently avoid the risk of infection.
