THE Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Wednesday morning.
According to NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Tuesday in Abuja, chances of isolated thunderstorm would also prevail over Jalingo, Ibi and environs.
Nimet also predicted chances of isolated thunderstorms over the region during the afternoon and evening hours.
Its forecast also indicated that the central states would have day and night temperature of 30 to 38 and 18 to 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to the forecast, southern states will experience cloudiness over the inland cities within the period.
NiMet’s weather outlook also indicated that there would be chances of isolated rain showers over the southwest coast and isolated thunderstorms over the southeast coast in the morning.
It also predicted chances of isolated thunderstorms over the region during the afternoon and evening hours with day and night temperatures of 32 to 34 and 21 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
According NiMet, Northern States will experience partly cloudy morning with isolated thunderstorms over Yelwa, Gusau and environs later in the day.
“The region will also have day and night temperatures of 35 to 42 and 21 to 27 degrees Celsius respectively.
“The influx of moist winds up to Niger Republic is favorable for isolated thunderstorms over some parts of the North, central cities as well as some cities in the Southern part of the country,’’ NiMet predicted.
