THERE is an urgent need for a state of emergency in the body of Christ in Nigeria, General Overseer of Goshen Freedom Tabernacle (GFT) in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, Prophet Austin Ariole, has said.
He said the state of emergency is urgently required because there is a calamity coming ahead of Nigeria if the crises facing the nation are not addressed speedily.
Making the call during the church’s midweek service, Prophet Ariole admonished clerics to rise, fast and pray to God for grace.”
He decried the disturbing high rate of unemployment, especially among graduates, insecurity, corruption and untold hardships in the land, laying the causes at the doorstep of the wickedness of man in the country.
Speaking in his sermon entitled, “The wickedness of man,” Prophet Ariole noted that people suffer as a result of evil projections in their lives and businesses.
He, therefore, called for a fresh revival, saying, “the revival that young children will grow and will yearn to serve God. The revival of old.”
He also urged Christians in the country to live politics to politicians and yield to the call of saving humanity through the will of God.
According to Prophet Ariole, “There’s so much wealth and corruption even in the house of God. That is why things are taken for granted.”.
Prophet Ariole, who described Nigeria as being in a war with itself given horrendous deaths, prayed to God to show Nigeria mercy.
“We’ve seen many people being kidnapped, raped and killed after ransom. The church has become powerless because of ungodly acts and unpardonable sins.
“Nigeria is witnessing the wrath of God. Christians and the nation as a whole need to act fast to seek the face of God,” he warned.
