Build a stronger,united,peaceful nation, Ajimobi tells corps members

Oyo State governor, Senator (Dr) Abiola Ajimobi at the closing ceremony of the 2019 batch A orientation course, at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Iseyin, Oyo state told the passing out corps members to build a stronger, more united, peaceful, harmonious and democratic nation.

Ably represented by the Oyo state commissioner for youth and sports Honourable Abayomi Oke, he congratulated them on the completion of the three-week orientation course and admonished them not to isolate themselves from the overall objectives of the NYSC scheme.

He further reiterated the hospitality and peaceful nature of Oyo state people and encouraged corps members to pay special attention to the development of their host community, making sure they leave a positive and long-lasting impact in those communities at the end of their service year.

Gov Ajimobi also advised the corps members to invest in made available skill acquisition programmes, because they are geared towards preparing them for post-service self-employment and they should shun all forms of truancy and anti-social behaviors.

Earlier in the welcome address, Oyo state NYSC coordinator, Mrs Eniola Ambekemo admonished 2019 Batch A corps members for been well behaved and disciplined during the three weeks orientation course and implore them to be a good ambassador of the NYSC scheme and their family.

She made a call to corps employers, to integrate these newly posted corps members into their work schedule and provide for their welfare, extending the same care provided for their staff to the corps members.
