The highly anticipated eighth season of Big Brother Naija Allstars kicked off on Sunday, July 23rd, and the housemates wasted no time in bringing their A-games for the first wager task of the season.
In a twist from previous editions, the housemates were tasked with creating a presentation about the highlights of their individual seasons and acting out their characters. Unlike the traditional group wagers, this season’s wager was to be staked individually.
Venita, one of the housemates, read the rules to the rest of the house, explaining that each housemate would stake an amount from their weekly allowance on the wager, and the total amount staked would be used for shopping if they won the wager. However, if they lost the wager, the money would be gone.
Throughout the week, the wager task caused a lot of drama and tension among the housemates. Each housemate took their turn to speak about their memorable moments and experiences from their respective seasons, ranging from “See Gobe,” “Double Wahala,” “Pepper Dem,” “Lockdown,” “Shine Ya Eye,” to “Level Up.”
Finally, on the execution day, the housemates showcased a pantomime performance, recreating iconic scenes and acts from past seasons. They rounded off the task with a compelling dairy session presentation.
In the end, the housemates impressed with their efforts, and as a result, they emerged victorious in the first wager of the season.
The win left them in high spirits and ready to face whatever challenges the Big Brother Naija Allstars season has in store for them.
