Bauchi State First Lady and Founder of the Majestic Foundation, Hajiya Aisha Bala Muhammad has commissioned a Primary Healthcare Center in Jamdan village.
The First Lady handed the PHC to the management of the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency for ownership and running.
The facility was built by the First Lady under the Majestic Foundation, a well-known donor organisation that supports women, youths and children all over the country.
She also commissioned the Gadam Koji Maternity and the Alkaleri Dispensary for the LGA.
At the commissioning ceremony, Aisha Bala Mohammed revealed that the facilities were provided by her Foundation to serve members of the communities medically, especially women, children and others.
According to her, “As you all know, the government of Governor Bala Mohammed is doing everything necessary to revive the healthcare sector by building and renovating health centers and providing health facilities throughout the state.”
With regard to Girls ‘ Education, the First Lady called on parents to allow their children, especially girls, to attend schools in order to build their future.
“This is necessary, because, education is the foundation that opens all the doors to success, it enables us to achieve our goals in life and helps us to form a peaceful environment where everyone without exception can lead a better life,” she stressed.
While receiving the facility on behalf of the Agency, Executive Chairman of BASPHCDA, Dr Rilwanu Mohammed commended the First Lady for donating the facilities saying they will complement what the government is doing in the healthcare sector.
An elated BASPHCDA EC, assured that the Agency will take adequate care of the facility by posting staff there to offer healthcare services to the communities thereby increasing access to service delivery.
Rilwanu Mohammed then urged other individuals and organizations to emulate what the First Lady and her Foundations have done stressing that governance is for everyone.
